Unity Bands

Pave diamond wedding set
It's a woman's right to choose, whether she wears one ring or two on her left hand.

That's right. Now-a-days we have two trends that are popular.

First we have the tradition of the wedding set. The first ring commonly referred to as the engagement ring, used to be the "betrothal ring," given to the woman to symbolize her being off the market as it were. The second ring is given at the wedding ceremony. These rings normally match in style and can fit together. More often than not this looks like a solitaire setting, and band

The second alternative is called the unity band. It's one ring that essentially represents both rings. This is one ring that typically one that looks better on its own. (That is of course a preference call, and being in the industry I have seen a lot of what I would refer to as unity bands receive a thin wedding band (shadow band) that hugs the curves of the engagement ring.)
